Living the green revolution
NOW: I have joined Grobund near Ebeltoft, Denmark.
Grobund is Denmark's largest co-working space for companies, associations and people working with sustainable and waste-free products and services.
Here's a clip from the National Danish Television, DR, with me and my family talking about climate change and how we see Grobund as a way of doing something about it!
The vision with Grobund is to combine green entrepreneurship and local businesses, disruption and creativity, low living costs and debt-freeness, thus creating space for a life in balance with nature and each other. In Grobund we find and show the way in practice by experimenting through our everyday work and life.

Hacking a symphonic orchestra!
In 2011-2012 I initiated a new collaboration between Platform4 and Aalborg Symphony, where these two cultural players would meet in artistic clashes over three major concerts. I worked as project lead and Live Video Artist. We entered the Platform4 vs. the Symphony project with great succes - The hall of the Symphony was filled with young people, eager to see what would come out of the mix of symphonic music, artistic video projection and interior design.
Music Director, Jan Kvistborg from Aalborg Symphony had this to say about the versus concept.
"We are very pleased and proud that this project has succeeded so well that our main hall was filled to full capacity - the result has exceeded our wildest expectations."

Creating Spaces in El Salvador
In 2015-2016 as part of my Masters in Innovative Learning, I was doing an internship through MS ActionAid Denmark: I was challenged on a daily basis in the village of Suchitoto, El Salvador (Central America) in the Global Platform El Salvador, which works to empower the local community politically, artistically and socially.
My role was to "create learning spaces"; to help shape a good and prosperous learning environment in the physical premises of the Global Platform. Through teaching the youth of El Salvador to build in wood and with various recycled materials, I myself developed my teaching skills, my sense of innovative room design, my facilitating skills on various empowerment workshops, the practical implications of Material Storytelling and got practical experiences shaping spaces for inspiring learning activity at the Global Platform.

Celebrating Denmark's Art/Tech
In November 2011 we (Platform4) celebrated three seasons of artistic and technological endeavors, at the Platform4 Awards. Morten and myself lead this ambitious exhibition / show involving 38 competing projects, a national jury, a night of performances and celebration - and of course a real award show!
Check out the cool projects in the .pdf below
Platform4 Season 3
As a part of the Platform4 Award Show, we showed this video that nicely summarizes a season of activities in Platform4. I often go back to this video to remember the action packed and good-old Platform4 at the harbour with Villum and myself at the steering wheel.
5 years of Cultural Pyromania
In 2008 I partnered up with Jonas Westergaard to found the underground promotion collective nitusind.nu, which for 5 eventful years would be an important player in the underground scene of Aalborg, involving young local talents and cultural pyromaniacs engaging in every corner of the subcultural life of Aalborg - from event making to street promotion, from web page development to social media activism. We housed a volunteer based editorial staff who generated more than 500 reviews, articles, interviews and photo galleries promoting the fast growing underground culture of Aalborg.

Developing a temporary city
As a part of creating awareness around Byens Rum, myself and a group of enthusiastic people used the summer of 2012 on creating a temporary city area at Østre Havn i Aalborg. We built urban gardens, container workshops, electrical bikes and other hands-on city space-related projects.
Take a look at the webpage of ByensRum.
I guess we all drew as kids, right? At some point, though, most of us stop.
I never really totally stopped, but yes, I have had a long break - now I've started playing around with colors and paper again: These drawings where all made in a week's time in a tent by a beach. I've used normal cheap pens (tusch) on water color paper.
Traveling South Europe in a camper
For two years my friend Gabija and I traveled primarily Spain and Portugal in Lemmy the camper. We've been driving, exploring, volunteering, exploring some more, surfing surfing and surfing, and trying another way of life - on the road.
Building a greenhouse for Berta
In November 2016, Gabija and I built a poly tunnel for Catalonian Berta. She lives alone in her grandfathers old country house surrounded by beautiful nature with her two dogs, 5 cats and many chicken.
During our 1,5 months with Berta our primary project was to build her a customized greenhouse, so that she could extend her growing season.
The design of the greenhouse grew out of the materials available to us, and resulted in an idea to make a combination of a “polytunnel” with integrated warm beds and cold frames – with the top of the arch of the polytunnel ending adjacent to the edge of the 2 meter high stone wall. This way the stones would collect heat during the sunny day and slowly release the warmth after sunset. The warm bed would allow Berta to seed and sprout pre-season, and the cold frames would enable her to grow crops needing colder climates.
Opening Byens Rum in Denmark
In 2013-2015, as chairman and co-project manager, I was part of developing and opening the first Center for User Driven City Development called Byens Rum. We worked together with A. Enggaard A/S in temporarely using a 6.000 m2 warehouse on Østre Havn in Aalborg for entrepreneurs, artists, scientific work and much more. We worked on establishing the frames of the house, creating awareness on the project, and started to shape the organization of the user driven project facility.

We won the ArtBeat Award!
In January 2012, in a ceremony at Teater Grob in Copenhagen, 4 years of being collaborative executive director, event maker, organiser and tech.-artist culminated in the best possible way when we (Platform4) won the newly established Artbeat Award. Amongst ourselves, TV2 News and Spotify Denmark were in the run, and the award was handed to us by Danish cultural minister Marianne Jelved (lady in red). Unfortunately, I couldn't attend the ceremony in Copenhagen (hence I'm not in the picture) but I got the good news real time via various channels. Well done, us!

Arranging Chill i Parken
In 2008, together with two awesome friends, Ditte Vangsted and Jonas Westergaard, I founded Chill i Parken - the first urban chill out festival in Aalborg presenting local, national and international musicians and graffiti artists. Until 2011 I was a part of the Chill i Parken team, organising, marketing, networking, designing, octupussing and chilling. To this day, Chill i Parken is still doing good chill-stuff every summer, so be sure to visit Aalborg on one of those sunny days!
